Whether you have an artistic side or just want to see the creative works of local artists, head over to the Grovewood Gallery this season to see the works of some North Carolina's finest woodworkers. The gallery is hosting a Grovewood Rocks! exhibition featuring handmade rocking chairs by 11 American woodworkers and almost half of those artisans are from North Carolina.

The showcase exemplifies the diversity, creative talent, and unique personality of each woodworker and includes the works of artists including Brian Brace, Fatie Atkinson, Curtis Buchanan, Brian Fireman and Leslie Webb, among others.

The event is free and open to the public. Make your way to the opening reception taking place on June 4 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. or stop by the gallery this summer to see this new exhibit up close. The gallery is located on Grovewood Road, just a short walk or drive from some of downtown Asheville's most popular cafes, eateries, and other art galleries.
