If you like listening to down-home bluegrass tunes as you sip a tasty microbrew, come on out to the 2013 Brewgrass Festival for an unforgettable day of music and beer. On September 21 from noon until 7 pm, Martin Luther King, Jr. Park in beautiful Asheville comes alive with the strumming of banjos as a fun-loving crowd enjoys the festivities. Regional and local bands, including top acts like Cadillac Sky, Carolina Chocolate Drops, and The Infamous String Dusters, perform beautiful bluegrass songs on an outdoor stage under the spectacular North Carolina skies in the fresh mountain air.

Attendees can sample beers from the best breweries in North Carolina along with some of the top craft beer brewers in the country. This year's festival will offer over 120 different beers! And there's a lot more than just beer to fill you up. There will be plenty of local food vendors on hand to serve up homemade specialties, and there will be lots of water on hand to keep everyone hydrated throughout the day. Brewgrass is a family-friendly activity, so kids accompanied by an adult are welcome, and the festival is free for children under the age of 7. Festival goers can also bring chairs, umbrellas, and backpacks (but no coolers) to the event to make it a comfortable spot to spend the day.
